My first mints on OpenSea really didn’t do anything at all. Besides the fact that I will need to dramatically improve my presence in the NFT community. This is also, at least partially, a result of an overall market downturn. According to Statista, March 2022 has been the worse month for NFT sales since June 2021. The global NFT sales value dropped from the height of 843 million in September 2021 to only 37 million in March 2022.

To give me a chance to further understand the NFT space, I need to make some sales and see what the experience is like from end to end. So, I decided to switch gear and give objkt.com a try. Objkt is the first and biggest FA2 marketplace on Tezos that allows auctioning and trading tokens across smart contracts. Objkt became a popular option for artists because of its low cost, the lower barrier of entry overall (you can literally set up and start selling in less than one hour), and the eco-friendly claim. Frankly, the fine artists like myself simply can not compete with the professional pfp (picture for profile) teams that are currently dominating the ETH NFT space with their “utilities” and “roadmaps.” Objkt is, at the moment, the sanctuary for small NFT artists.

To have a better brand position, I believe that I will need to create a clear separation between my offerings on Tezos and ETH. Therefore, I decided to start my Tezos collection with only figure drawings, I titled this collection, Light/Darkness Juxtaposition. This is a green experiment for me right now, and I hope that it will become my Great Experiment. Time will tell.
